About Me

I am a research assistant at the University of Rostock - Chair of Modeling and Simulation (LeMoS) working in the field of numerical modeling and simulation of particle-laden turbulent flows. My research is primarly focused on interactions between local flow structures - generated through structured heat transfer surfaces commonly used in heat exchangers - and the occuring particle dynamics as well as their influence on particle deposition. Turbulent flow fields and particle motions are resolved in space and time by Eulerian-Lagrangian large-eddy simulations (LES) using high-performance computing (HPC) systems. Additionally, I am involved in the education of undergraduate and graduate students as lecturer for ship hydrodynamics and mathematical modeling of turbulent flows.
